NOTE: – The visa is valid for entry and exit through Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City or DaNang Airports only. If your point of entry is different (e.g. by rail) you must request this specifically on your application form.
– The Vietnam visa can usually be extended after arrival in Vietnam at the Vietnam Immigration Service, for a further 20 days stay. There is a fee of $25 paid to V.I.S.
Passport
Please send your current valid and signed passport. U.S passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page. Foreign Embassies cannot issue a visa on a page not labeled as a Visa page. Amendment and Endorsement pages in the back of the passport cannot be used for issuance of a visa.

Proof of Departure
Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant’s name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

– The purpose of the trip

Place of visa submission and collection should be ” Vietnam embassy in the United States of America”, toward the bottom off the dropdown menu. Uploading a photo is optional. Click on “next” and proceed to answer all of the questions about your trip.
For U.S. passport type select “ordinary.” Enter the sponsor information for Business travelers or Hotel name and address for Tourist travelers.
After submiting the form a PDF will open. Print and sign the PDF, send it to PAVO along with your support documentation.
